I crossed over the Mississippi River and entered my tenth state yesterday morning just before noon (11:55:45 AM) over a fairly treacherous bridge. Another 25 or so miles later I arrived at my lodging for the night - Leroy Percy State Park. This is Mississippi's oldest state park and despite its age, has many modern amenities such as laundry, RV site hookups and a brunch every Sunday. That's right, I was able to enjoy a great meal just a bit ago before heading out on my marathon to Belzoni today. After that it will be another state park in the middle of the state before getting to Alabama in just a few days. My final two weeks will be across Alabama and Georgia before the finale at the Atlantic Ocean on the 27th. The excitement is building!
